Going Earth Friendly: Making our Cars Hurt our Environment Less

By: Chris Rhines

The new award received by Honda as this year's Greenest Auto maker is truly a significant ascend for the automobile manufacturing maestro. This being the fourth, affirms of Honda's pledge towards coming out with earth friendly cars and keeping their corporation earth friendly.
Though it is bona fide that huge companies like Honda should work hard to care for the earth, we cannot brush off the truth that the pollutants that start live with from the millions of end users dwarfs those produced by big entities or corporations. It is lousy, then, for us to just ensure ourselves on innovations or modifications that are brought about by makers knowing our duty in the huge scene. Thinking of who drives the automobile on a usual basis, even if pollution is generated more than ever, and who can bring about nature friendly practices then twists the bigger end of the responsibility from the producers to the people.
Clearly put, the will to concern for our earth turns out not in conference rooms or in industrial complexes but in out homes.
Though, car producers have been working for a long time in coming up with environment-friendly cars, we should accede our part in this matter. I guess that one cannot really belittle what difference an individual can do. The following are some of the alternatives that are well available in forging our automobiles more environment-friendly. Options range from those that will only depend upon some purchase to those that will necessitate tinkering with your car's auto parts.
There is perhaps no better ways to tune your cars to an environment-friendly bliss than to first perceive and exhaust gettable options. You must determine what your goals are and the available resources in reaching or achieving this goal. Looking for related information like how hybrids work or what the advantages of electric cars are will prove to be a wise endeavor. Finding options for alternative fuel or studying the pros and cons of this is also a great way to start.
So, do you feel you are ready to experiment with anything other than gasoline? With the increasing drive to improve awareness to alternative fuel sources, I am pretty sure you have brushed upon the topic at least once. It is not a surprise then if you have already been offered the use of organic sources of fuel or biofuel. The diesel engine, if you own one, opens a lot of other options that will truly surprise you. You can run your car on homemade biodiesel fuel which is cleaner and less expensive. Though this sounds very overwhelming, one can search for a number of already available resources on this topic.
how about running your cars with the same oil you cook your french-fries at? This is supposedly already working. This option will require you to make major modifications for your ride but resources are already available to take you on the steps in doing this. Makes me think of a possible change in how we define Drive thru's in the future. I wonder if exhaust from these has that attractive smell of french fries or hash browns too.
Going electric is another wise option for those who love Mother Earth. Hybrids or purely electric cars rely on batteries that one can charge from a normal electrical outlets. While hybrids also run on gasoline, one can opt to run purely on electricity as long as one is willing to sacrifice speed and only for short distances. This is a cool option that can literally save one a lot of money. The savings gained by sacrificing those fast and the furious moments will definitely pay off. Add to that the feeling of making a difference for the environment and you will really be satisfied. Not to mention the fact that you will surely be impressing your boss for being early at work.
An alternative option includes the use of ultracapacitors in powering your car. Though presently just a complement to batteries, these can evolve in the future to be a good source of power and performance.
There truly are a lot of options that are already made available for motorists to make their cars more earth friendly. Resources for these alternatives are already available to the normal person without any cost. I feel that taking responsibility now will make a big difference for our children in the future.
