Variants needed in using glasses and contact lenses

If you are used to wearing both glasses
and contact lenses, it is advisable that you should give them a little break and
wear them at a regular interval between them. Cosmetic is the key differences
between them. You can make the variant in using the glasses and the contact
lenses for the better safety of your eyes.

Aesthetically, if you’re incredibly
short-sighted, you may not want to opt for glasses, as they will tend to have
thick lenses, which will distort your appearance, making your eyes appear a lot
smaller than they actually are. Contacts don’t fog up; and in summer months,
they won’t feel uncomfortable on your face.

Glasses can add a certain air of
intellectual integrity sure, and can be a chic accessory to many an outfit and
they are now treated as fashionable extras in the pages of glossy fashion
magazines.

However, whilst glasses are pretty easy
to wear, for the most part, the practicality of contacts suggests that they are
the better option. That said, contact lenses do need to be taken care of,
particularly because they can dry your eyes and need to be changed fairly
frequently: never go to sleep with your contacts in for instance.  Also, dust
and dirt can find their way underneath your contacts and irritate your eyes,
which is something you need to pay attention to as a wearer. Lenses can also
discolour and dry out in winds.

The key to wearing contacts again –
considering their huge practicality – is to make sure you take excellent care of
your eyes. Treating them to soothing and cooling pads and creams can make a real
difference. There’s the old tried-and-tested natural formula of cucumber slices
to soothe laboured and tired eyes; and Aloe Vera is a good cooling gel.

Places like Vision Direct have soft-gel

contact lenses
, which are kind on the eye and some accompanying treats like
cucumber pads and eye drops. And if you want to chop and change with glasses try
David Clulow for some highly trendy designs from the catwalk.
